About K2 DOJO

Behind every summit is a story. Mine began more than 25 years ago — working alongside pro athletes, coaches, surgeons, and executives.

Together, we’ve faced the uncertainty of injury and the challenge of comeback, always moving step by step toward the next peak.

About K2

The Guide behind DOJO

Keisuke Kanno, PT, DPT, FAFS, CSCS

Over 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of guiding MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, PGA, LPGA, NPB, Olympic athletes — and elite performers in every field — to rebuild, rise, and stay at their peak. My path has taken me from IndyCar pit lanes to 22 years at the world-renowned Fischer Institute, and now to serving as Medical Advisor for the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks in Japan.

The nickname “K2” was first given to me by Brett Fischer in 2002, and it stayed. Over time, it grew into more than a name — it became a symbol of how I work: steady, humble, always climbing, and dedicated to guiding others through challenge with trust and UnConditional Love (UCL).

Across every setting, one truth has remained constant: high performers need more than treatment — they need clarity, direction, and a trusted partner on the climb. That’s why I built K2 DOJO. Here, the focus is always one client, one session, one summit at a time.

A Mentor’s Words After 22 Years Together

Brett Fischer, PT, ATC, CSCS

Detroit Lions, Director of Player Health & Performance

“Over the 22 years I worked with K2, he proved to be one of those rare people who truly make you better. He asks great questions. He taught me, as a leader, to be open and to share — especially when it comes to patients.

He has been a great sounding board through the years, exchanging knowledge and experience. When I think back on our time together, the word that comes to mind is unity. Everybody has different philosophies, but at the end of the day, we are here to help the patient — and sharing ideas with each other is what makes that possible.

What stands out most about K2 is his passion for helping people at a deep level. That’s a unique thing. It feels like destiny that our paths crossed, with so many parallels in our lives. I believe God had a plan for him to be here.

I have so much respect for him.”

The Spirit of Kaizen

“At Least” 1% Better, Every Day

These walls carry the spirit of Kaizen — a reminder that progress isn’t measured in leaps, but in daily steps forward. Many of these pieces were gifts from clients, symbols of trust, gratitude, and the climb we share together.

The K2 DOJO Creed

Words we live, breathe, and climb by.

UCL — UnConditional Love

All in. No conditions, no hesitation. A promise I make to every client — to give everything I have, every single session. Born from a pitcher’s torn ligament, now the heartbeat of K2 DOJO.

At Least 1% Better Every Day

Small steps, stacked daily, build greatness. At every session we find the opportunity to improve — and we never miss it.

Dominate the Day with No Regrets

Bring full effort and intention. Because there are no other options. A mindset, a lifestyle, the way we climb together.

Be Where Your Feet Are!

Stay present. Not yesterday. Not tomorrow. But right now. Progress only happens in the moment we are in.

Steadfast

Unshakable. Like holding your ground against any push, any test. A promise that I’ll be steady for you — and a challenge for you to be steady in return.

Not Hurrying!

Climbs aren’t won by rushing. The mountain teaches patience, steady effort, and trust in the process.

Maybe

A parable of the Chinese farmer. What looks like a setback may be tomorrow’s gift. What looks like a win may lead to another test. We don’t judge, we don’t overreact — we just keep climbing.

Kaizen!

Continuous improvement — in body, mind, and spirit. Not perfection, but steady progress. A daily promise to optimize, refine, and grow. Begin with “Never stop” and end with “Don’t stop.” A circle of commitment. Each step takes us higher.

Positive Vibes Only

Energy fuels the climb. The mountain is steep enough without the weight of negativity. In K2 DOJO, we protect the sanctuary — a place of respect, encouragement, and unwavering belief.

Domo! / Domo BABY!

Our DOJO’s heartbeat. Sometimes quiet gratitude, sometimes fired-up celebration. Always respect, always positive energy.

Where UCL (UnConditional Love) Meets the Summit

Because the climb isn’t just about reaching the top—
it’s about who you become, and who you share it with, along the way.
